Measure C — Mendocino Coast Health Care District

Measure C is a local funding measure for the Mendocino Coast Health Care District, passed by local voters in the June 2018 Primary Election to ensure the continuity of essential health care in coastal communities of the Mendocino Coast.

Measure C levies an annual parcel tax of $144 on each parcel within the district for 12 years, ending in 2030. The tax is collected by Mendocino County and included in annual property tax bills, generating approximately $1.5 million per year dedicated exclusively to local health care facilities and services.

All expenditures must be approved by the MCHCD Board and are subject to annual review by an independent citizens' oversight committee, which ensures that funds are spent in accordance with voter intent and are not used for administrator salaries, pensions, or benefits.
